Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), incorporated in 2008 and headquartered in Mumbai, is India’s first institutionally promoted power exchange, jointly promoted by NSE and NCDEX. It provides a transparent, efficient electronic platform for trading electricity and related certificates. PXIL facilitates transactions in Day Ahead, Real Time, and Term Ahead Markets, covering conventional and renewable sources. It also enables trading in Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and Energy Saving Certificates (ESCerts), supporting India’s clean energy goals. PXIL plays a vital role in promoting competitive, organized, and sustainable power markets nationwide.
