Pro Tips to use IPO Fund allocator
Strategies used by experienced IPO investors to edge out the competition.
Re-run on Day 3
Subscription patterns shift sharply by closing day, especially in HNI where bNII bids spike in the final hours. Re-run the tool on Day 3 with the latest figures before finalising your bid.
Check shareholder quota first
If you are eligible to apply under Shareholder Quota for an IPO, apply under the Shareholder Reservation category first — it's usually Favourable. This tool doesn't cover that quota, so use it only to allocate your remaining capital across Retail, sNII, and bNII.
Skip the tool for undersubscribed IPOs
This allocator is built for oversubscribed IPOs where allotment is probabilistic. If an IPO isn't oversubscribed, every valid application gets full allotment — just apply in any single category that fits your capital. Splitting it here adds no value.
