Qualiance International Limited
Sector: Technical & Performance Garment Manufacturing (Apparel Exports)
1. Overview
Qualiance International Limited ("Qualiance") is an integrated manufacturer and exporter of performance and technical garments serving institutional, government and premium brand clients across international markets. The company was originally founded as a partnership firm, "M/s. Qualiance Exports," in 1994, incorporated as a private limited company in 2006, and converted to a public limited company in December 2025 ahead of this issue.
Qualiance operates a single manufacturing facility at Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, with a built-up area of over 45,000 sq. ft. on a land parcel of approximately 1,046.31 sq. metres, carrying an installed capacity of 4,50,000 garment pieces per annum. Its product portfolio spans military and police uniforms, tactical and all-weather outerwear, high-visibility workwear, UPF 50+ sun-protective apparel, children's rainwear and performance activewear, produced across both woven and knit categories.
The company's defining characteristic is its export orientation and government-client concentration: exports contributed 98.82% of revenue in FY2026 (up from 93.87% in FY2025 and 87.77% in FY2024), and its single largest end-customer relationship is with departments of the Government of Switzerland. Qualiance is positioned as a specialist technical-garment supplier rather than a volume apparel exporter, holding Two-Star Export House status and certifications including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14064-1:2018, SA 8000, SEDEX, GOTS and GRS.
On the financial front, Qualiance scaled revenue from operations from ₹37.23 Cr (FY2024) to ₹76.89 Cr (FY2026) — a two-year growth trajectory of over 106% — while PAT rose from ₹2.84 Cr to ₹11.87 Cr over the same span, reflecting strong operating leverage and margin expansion.
2. Business Model and Revenue Streams
Qualiance operates a customer-specification-driven, order-based manufacturing model. Designs, technical drawings, patterns and quality requirements are provided by customers; Qualiance manufactures to those specifications, contributing design inputs on construction, sourcing and fabric/trim selection during the pre-production stage. This positions the company as an engineered-garment manufacturing partner rather than an own-brand player.
Revenue by Geography
Revenue is heavily concentrated in Switzerland, with the United States as the second market (₹ Cr):
| Geography | FY2026 | % | FY2025 | % | FY2024 | % |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Switzerland | 61.54 | 80.67% | 31.09 | 58.87% | 20.83 | 56.44% |
| USA | 12.67 | 16.60% | 17.28 | 32.71% | 10.66 | 28.87% |
| UK | 1.18 | 1.54% | 1.21 | 2.29% | 0.91 | 2.46% |
| India | 0.90 | 1.18% | 3.24 | 6.13% | 4.51 | 12.23% |
| Total | 76.29 | 100% | 52.82 | 100% | 36.91 | 100% |
Revenue by Client Type (Government vs non-government)
| Particulars | FY2026 | % | FY2025 | % | FY2024 | % |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Government of Switzerland departments | 60.45 | 79.24% | 30.41 | 57.58% | 20.58 | 55.76% |
| Non-Government | 15.84 | 20.76% | 22.40 | 42.42% | 16.33 | 44.24% |
| Total | 76.29 | 100% | 52.82 | 100% | 36.91 | 100% |
Client Concentration Risk
The model carries acute customer and geographic concentration: nearly four-fifths of revenue derives from Swiss government departments, and the top-two markets (Switzerland + USA) account for ~97% of FY2026 revenue. Within the Swiss government channel, the Swiss Government (core) segment alone contributed ₹43.44 Cr (71.85%) of that channel in FY2026, followed by the Customs Department (₹13.84 Cr, 22.89%) and Railway Department (₹2.99 Cr, 4.95%). Qualiance operates on order-based terms without long-term contracts, amplifying the sensitivity of revenue to order flow from a narrow client base.
3. Products and Service Portfolio
Qualiance's portfolio is organised across woven (shirts, trousers, jackets, uniforms) and knitted (t-shirts, sportswear, innerwear) construction, with the value proposition concentrated in high-complexity technical garments.
Key Product Lines
- Technical Outerwear (3-Layer PTFE Membrane Jackets): 25,000 mm water column, fully taped seams, waterproof YKK zippers, PFC-free DWR treatment — the highest-complexity product involving membrane lamination and full seam sealing.
- Swiss-Spec Synthetic Insulated Hooded Jackets: 40D ripstop nylon shell, synthetic microfibre fill, quilting and down-filling.
- High-Visibility Workwear: for low-light, high-risk industrial, construction and utility environments.
- Institutional / Government Uniforms: functional operational clothing for Swiss Government departments (military, police, customs, railway).
- UPF 50+ Sun-Protective Apparel: tops, leggings, jackets, swimwear.
- Recycled Children's Rainwear and Performance Activewear (hoodies, joggers, sports bras, training wear).
Manufacturing Capabilities (In-House)
A key differentiator is that all critical technical processes are performed in-house under one roof, including seam sealing, bonded/sew-free construction, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting and perforation, reflective fusing, down filling and quilting — capabilities that support premium technical programs and enable quality, lead-time and cost control.
Capacity and Utilisation
| Particulars | FY2026 | FY2025 | FY2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Installed Capacity (pieces) | 4,50,000 | 4,50,000 | 3,80,000 |
| Actual Production (pieces) | 3,94,044 | 3,51,698 | 2,97,548 |
| Capacity Utilisation (%) | 88% | 78% | 78% |
The facility is running at near-optimal utilisation (88% in FY2026), which is the central operational rationale for the IPO-funded expansion. Utilisation improvement from 78% to 88% signals a capacity constraint that limits near-term order acceptance — a growth bottlenecks the new facility is intended to relieve.
4. Key Business Strengths
- Government-anchored export franchise: Two-decade relationship supplying uniforms and outerwear to Government of Switzerland departments (military, police, customs, railway) provides a durable revenue anchor and a credibility reference for compliance and quality.
- Integrated in-house technical capability: All high-complexity processes — seam sealing, bonded construction, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting, down filling — are performed internally, enabling control over quality, cost and lead times.
- Comprehensive certification stack: ISO 9001/14001/45001, GOTS, GRS, SA 8000, SEDEX and Two-Star Export House status align the company with the compliance and sustainability requirements of institutional and premium-brand buyers.
- High-capacity utilisation: 88% utilisation demonstrates strong demand absorption and validates the case for capacity addition.
- Experienced promoter leadership: Vipul Badani (30+ years) and Bhoomin R Badani (15+ years) provide deep technical-garment domain expertise.
5. Future Growth Strategy
- Capacity expansion at Tiruppur: IPO proceeds fund a new multi-storey RCC facility (~1.41 acres, ~1,43,370 sq. ft. over four floors) adding a base capacity of 10,80,000 pieces per annum with ~600 sewing machines — a ~2.4x increase over current installed capacity, targeted at complex outerwear and high-performance programs.
- Pivot toward premium international brands: Strategy to convert government-supply credibility into engagements with outdoor and performance-wear brands across Europe and North America, using trade-fair research to shortlist and directly approach prospective customers.
- Investment in technology: In-house development of Kanban-style production-tracking software to digitise and centralise manufacturing operations across Pending / WIP / Finished-Goods stages.
- Consistent quality-standard compliance: Continued third-party ISO auditing (via Gcerti) and investment in testing infrastructure to maintain output consistency as volumes scale.
- Supplier and customer relationship depth: Buyer-specific lookbooks, customised sample sets and virtual engagement to deepen relationships with shortlisted premium brands.
- Cost efficiency at scale: Cost benchmarking at each cost centre and negotiated logistics pricing to preserve margin discipline as the new facility ramps.
